Howard Brick

Chief Executive Officer, Director

Mr. Brick is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and new business initiatives of MedPanel, and all research, operations and commercial activities at the Company, including its MedPanel Capital Advisors business practice. Previously, he served as COO of MedPanel and before that as Managing Director of the MedPanel Financial Group, which he started and established a presence for MedPanel as a significant provider of a differentiated healthcare research service to leading firms in the institutional investor community.

Prior to joining MedPanel, Mr. Brick spent five years at Case Shiller Weiss Inc. While there, he served as Vice President of Business Development, Finance & Legal Affairs. In that capacity, he successfully conceived of, negotiated, and managed multiple business partnerships for the company, and was a member of the company’s senior management team. Mr. Brick played a leadership role in Case Shiller Weiss’ sale of itself to Fiserv, an S&P 500 company, in 2002. Prior to joining Case Shiller Weiss, Mr. Brick practiced law in Boston for 12 years, both in private practice where he focused on intellectual property and commercial matters and as an Assistant Attorney General with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.

Mr. Brick holds a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College, from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and received his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law.


E. Hunterson Henrie, II

Executive Vice President MedPanel, Managing Director of MedPanel Capital Advisors

Hunt Henrie joined MedPanel in early 2013 from Ferghana Partners where he was responsible for Ferghana’s Financing activities and its MedTech and Diagnostics practice from 2002 until early 2013. Hunt will lead the newly-established MedPanel Capital Advisors business.

Hunt is an experienced financial, strategic and biomedical executive with over 25 years of broad-based global financial, investment banking, private equity and corporate operating experience, of which the last 20 have been in healthcare. Hunt began his career with Chase Manhattan and was a founding member of Chase’s European Mezzanine Capital Group which later became Chase Capital Partners Europe, and played a crucial role in the early success of Chase Securities’ penetration of the U.S. high yield market in 1993-1994. Hunt spent five years in the biomedical industry with Instrumentation Laboratory where he was Managing Director for Worldwide Corporate Finance, CFO of IL’s U.S. subsidiary and a member of the Corporate Executive Committee. Hunt has led the raising and investing of more than $5 billion in capital in support of M&A, principal investing and IPO activities.

B.A. cum laude, in International Relations from Boston University; M.A. in International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS); and Executive Certificate in Financial Management from the Graduate School of Business of Stanford University.


Scott D. Packard, Ph.D.

Chief Operating Officer, MedPanel Insights

Scott Packard oversees product development, research services and all related engagements at MedPanel, working with major biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device clients across a spectrum of clinical and commercial topics, affecting over ten billion dollars of client revenue. Dr. Packard focuses on understanding markets, forecasting and valuing assets, and optimizing assets’ positioning to capture maximum value. His approach is data-driven and incorporates detailed and targeted feedback from market decision-makers and influencers.

Prior to joining MedPanel, Dr. Packard served as a Director at the Advisory Board Company in Washington, DC. While with the Advisory Board, he authored syndicated research studies and helped launch and manage a clinical technology evaluation program. With the consulting arm of the company, he scoped, priced, and managed consulting engagements in strategic portfolio planning, hospital-physician alignment, and marketing and growth strategy among others. While in academia, in addition to publishing and presenting in the fields of tumor biology, hemodynamics, and diagnostic imaging, he worked as a consultant to Merck & Co. on imaging biomarkers of tumor angiogenesis to accelerate preclinical drug development. Dr. Packard holds his doctorate from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, a joint program between MIT and Harvard Medical School, following an undergraduate degree in physics from Cornell University.


Janet Bernard

Senior Vice President, Community Development

Janet Bernard has more than 20 years' experience developing, leading, and managing healthcare communities for the global market research industry. At MedPanel Janet has built a community of more than 300,000 physicians, medical professionals, and hospital executives worldwide. Working closely with clients to understand and clarify their research objectives, Janet consistently identifies and qualifies the best and most appropriate targets to meet our clients' aggressive goals. Janet is known in the industry for her extremely high success - sometimes against all odds - in recruiting the most prestigious thought leaders in their fields. Clients come back again and again knowing that Janet and her team will use their deep and broad expertise to source the experts they need for their studies.

Before joining MedPanel, Janet was a founding partner of Equinox Group, where she led recruitment efforts for global market research projects. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Regis College, Weston, Massachusetts.


Kristin L. Fahy, M.P.H

Vice President, Research

Kristin Fahy helps clients understand how to optimize market opportunities and position themselves for maximum return. She has conducted extensive qualitative and quantitative primary market research with numerous specialties and audiences including clinicians, payors, and hospital CXOs, both nationally and internationally. Client management experiences have included directing and executing research and consulting engagements including payer strategy development, valuing assets, market landscape assessments, market access studies, value proposition creation and testing, pricing sensitivity analysis and go-to-market strategy development. Previous experience includes working in reimbursement implementation at Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield and as a reimbursement consultant with the Neocure Group, a boutique consulting firm. With over eleven years of life sciences and healthcare professional experience she has developed a diverse perspective, having worked in primary market research, managed care, reimbursement consulting, health care policy, and medical device and drug development. She received her Master of Public Health degree from Boston University and obtained her undergraduate degree in Financial and Managerial Economics and Health Management and Policy from the University of New Hampshire.


John N. Paulson

Vice President Business Development

For over 25 years, John has had extensive experience in market research and consulting, focusing on the pharmaceutical industry, device companies and healthcare systems. He has had the privilege to work with global, emerging and specialty healthcare companies throughout the world in both qualitative and quantitative settings. With his in-depth knowledge in the design and application of primary market research findings, John has been able to translate this information and assist his clients with delivering stronger ROI's, as well as providing them quality insight leading to a better competitive advantage. Prior to joining MedPanel, John served in senior management roles at several large marketing and consulting firms including Harris Interactive, TNS, the Gallup Organization and Cardinal Health. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospital Administration from Carroll University.


Kevin Cain

Vice President, Business Development & Client Services

Kevin Cain has responsibility for enhancing and expanding Medpanel's services with biopharmaceutical companies. Kevin brings more than 20 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device experience to the MedPanel team with a broad base of commercialization expertise from responsibilities in marketing research, business development, marketing, and sales at established and start-up biopharmaceutical companies. Executive leadership positions include Vice President Commercial Operations at Proteon Therapeutics and International Director of Marketing at Serono. He also has extensive experience in the marketing research and consulting arena servicing clients such as Takeda/Millennium, NitroMed, Abbott, and Pfizer. Kevin holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Economics from Rutgers University.
