Study Description and Objectives:

To conduct a panel discussion among anesthesiologists to gauge the use of brain function monitors (BFM) in general, and Aspect Medical Systems’ Bispectral Index (BIS) technology in particular, during anesthesia for surgical procedures, understand drivers of adoption, and assess the competitive marketplace.  

§    Understand current usage patterns of brain function monitors in general, and BIS in particular, among anesthesiologists.

§    Gauge physician opinion about the American Society of Anesthesiologists’ (ASA) recommendations regarding brain function monitors and BIS.
