Study Description and Objectives:
Our primary objective is to conduct a panel discussion among pharmacy directors to understand the formulary positioning of Zetia® (ezetimibe) and Vytorin® (ezetimibe/simvastatin). Secondary objectives of this study included the following:
§ Determine any impact ENHANCE trial data has made to the formulary positioning for Zetia® and Vytorin®.
§ Assess how these changes have impacted formulary positioning for other statins.
§ Discuss any future changes to the formulary positioning of Zetia® and Vytorin® and other statins.
§ Understand how rebates impact formulary positioning.
§ Identify any changes in rebates from manufacturers for Zetia® and Vytorin® since ENHANCE trial data was released and any anticipated in the future.
§ Gauge utilization of Zetia® and Vytorin® over the next 18 months.
§ Explore other factors that may effect additional formulary changes for Zetia® and Vytorin® over the next 12 months.
§ Review how for Zetia® and Vytorin® fit in Medicare Part D formularies.
