Study Description and Objectives:

To conduct a panel discussion among neurologists to discuss the preliminary results of the phase II clinical trial about bapineuzumab in Alzheimer’s disease. Secondary objectives:

§    To understand the current standard of care for Alzheimer’s patients

§    To evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of bapineuzumab based on the phase II trial information

§    To identify meaningful end points of the clinical trial

§    To evaluate the significance of the trial outcomes among ApoE4 carriers and non-carriers

§    To determine the effect of sample size, baseline characteristics, and discontinuation/drop-out rates on the outcomes of this study

§    To gauge the future potential and limitations of bapineuzumab in clinical practice

Inclusion Criteria and Panel Details:

Inclusion Criteria

 

§    US-based

§    Training and board-certified in specialty

§    Two to 30 years of experience post-training

§    From academic medical centers, large private practice groups

§    Spend at least 60% of time in clinical practice

§    Manages a significant number of Alzheimer’s patients in practice

§    Not participated in a clinical trial related to bapineuzumab

§    Not holding a consulting position/employed by a Wyeth or Elan
