Erbitux® (cetuximab) in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) Panel Discussion
A Panel Discussion among Ten Oncologists
Prepared by Panel Intelligence, LLC
study description and objectives
To conduct a panel discussion among oncologists specializing in lung cancer to discuss the anticipated results of ImClone’s phase III clinical trial (“FLEX” trial) of Erbitux® (cetuximab) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and how the results could impact treatment of the disease.
§ Understand current treatment practices for NSCLC
§ Discuss the anticipated outcomes from ImClone’s recent phase III clinical trial of Erbitux (cetuximab) in NSCLC (“FLEX” trial)
§ Evaluate the potential clinical benefit of Erbitux in NSCLC treatment practices
§ Determine what clinical evidence the Erbitux trial would need to demonstrate in order for it to be used as a first-line treatment in NSCLC
§ Identify the patient population that could benefit from Erbitux
§ Describe the possible impact Erbitux could have on the use of Avastin® (bevacizumab)
§ Identify possible barriers and facilitators to treatment with Erbitux
§ Review the potential cost and reimbursement issues for Erbitux
